Take 2

I broke down and made a blog... I was originally planning on just using one of my other blogs for random updates, but I decided that this adventure was so big that it was in need of it's very own page! So here I am, curled in my living room, watching my backyard turn into a winter wonderland. Drinking hot coco and watching the snow fall, it's hard to believe that tomorrow evening I will {finally!} be in Haiti!

I don't know if I will ever find out why God sent me home for these two weeks. Maybe it was because I needed to say another goodbye to certain people in my life and settle some things that I had originally left hanging. Either way, I feel a lot more peace leaving home this second time. God is good.

My team is amazing and I have missed them so much! Since I got sick two weeks ago and had to come home, I've felt that a large part of me is missing. It truly is crazy how in such a short time, people can have such a huge impact on your life. I just got off a skype call with Penny and Hunter and some of their Haitian friends, and I don't know if it was hearing of all their adventures or if the hot chocolate is kicking in but I am so ready to get down there and meet everyone! Not even Penny's stories about the cockroaches can deter me at this point!

Well, I have to head out to the store and get some playtime in the snow in before I have to head out in the morning! My flight leaves at 6:20 am! So I will be in Haiti tomorrow afternoon and from what I hear there are internet cafes so I will be able to keep this blog and my fundraiser page updated frequently. I will post the link to my fundraiser page on Experience Mission's website below as well as in my bio. I am quite excited for this adventure that God is sending me on tomorrow morning!

PS: I enjoy making up hashtagging, especially with the term "immersed" since after all that is what I am doing, joining the Immersion Team! ;)
